Jo*******: Thank you for your feedback. If you have any trouble or question about the operation of the solar light, you should have reached out to our support team so we could assist.
In general, solar lighting products are designed to deliver simplicity in operation. The light has a daylight sensor that allows operating the light automatically from dusk to dawn (without the need to turn it on and off manually all the time) that makes it a maintenance-free lighting device.
All you need to do is to set the light up, plug the solar panel with the light and turn it on. The light will come up automatically at night and turn off during the day for a recharge. This cycle repeats the next night. In this case, you do not even need a remote control.
The remote control can be used for the following operations:
- turn the light on and off manually on demand if required.
- adjust the brightness of the light: up to 100% or down
- set the timer of when to turn the light off (once it turns on at night, it can stay on for a set of hours – 2, 4, 6h depending on settings), then turns off.
If you do not need all these functions, you do not have to use them. The light will operate without the remote.
In order to achieve the best outcomes, we recommend the following guidance:
1. Please note you won’t be able to turn the lights on during the day due to the daylight sensor (activates the light automatically at night and turns them off during the day). At night, make sure the solar panel is located away from bright sources of light as it may confuse the sensor. To check the light during the day you may cover the solar panel with a towel.
2. Please check the cable connection between the light and the solar panel, unplug it and reconnect, to make sure it is tight and secure.
3. In most cases the lights arrive with a flat battery due to the storage and transportation. In this case, you may need to charge them under the direct sunlight for a day or two. After that please repeat the process 1.
4. During the operation, please make sure the solar panel is installed under the direct unshaded sun where it will be able to receive as much sunlight as possible during the day.
5. Final step, please, make sure the light is turned On with the switch (usually located behind the solar panel or the light itself)
